Another week, another mock draft, and once again Dan Kadar has looked to bolster the Texans’ already formidable defense. Here is Kadar’s ideal pick (temporarily, at least) for Bill O’Brien.
16. Houston Texans: Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
Starter Kareem Jackson is a free agent and the on-roster replacements aren't exactly stellar. Waynes is immersed as the draft's top cornerback because of his lanky build and proven ability to play man coverage.
If Ice Kareem is somehow allowed to slip away to another team in free agency – a scenario I should mention that I dread every single day – then I could certainly get behind Waynes as the sixteenth overall pick. There is a gaggle of young developing corners already on the roster that I happen to like very much with A.J. Bouye, Andre Hal, Darryl Morris, and Jumal Rolle, but if Jackson is no longer around to be the "top dog" I could see the Texans trying to replace his loss with an infusion of yet another young talent. For what it’s worth, NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah loves Waynes already.
Just studied 3 games of Mich St CB Trae Waynes. I like him better than any of the CBs in last year's draft. Size, speed, tough, instinctive

What do you think, BRB? Could you get behind adding a fifth young corner to the roster in the first round if Kareem Jackson is allowed to walk? Sound off below.
