Another week, another empty payday. Brett and I have been close each week to the top of the SBNation League, but can't find paydirt. My team reached 111.78 points, but the lowest winning score was 148.52 - a high total for an individual week. Onto Week Four:

Week 4 Lineups
Brett Cost Ryan Cost
QB $7,000 Derek Carr $7,000
RB 1 $8,700 Jamaal Charles $8,700
RB 2 $7,500 $7,300
WR 1 $8,200 Randall Cobb $8,200
WR 2 Amari Cooper $7,200 $7,900
WR 3 $7,200 $6,500
TE $5,600 $4,900
K Adam Vinatieri $4,900 $4,800
DEF $4,700 Broncos $4,700

Brett:

For the second week in a row, I am just going with a strategy of picking whatever players are playing against really bad teams.

Derek Carr, Latavius Murray, and Amari Cooper are all going against a very soft Bears defense, and I like both of the Packers' starting receivers (sans Davante Adams' injury) against a leaky 49ers secondary. On top of those no-brainers, I think Jordan Reed will continue to get a ton of targets against an Eagles linebacking corps that is down two starters, and even if the Chiefs lose, they showed that will still feed Jamaal Charles the rock.

This lineup relies on a lot of assumptions about which games will and will not be blowouts, but I feel comfortable with it.

Ryan:

Admittedly, I hadn't seen Brett's lineup before I crafted mine. Thus, we have a similar strategy this week. Carr has had a strong start to the season and has a good matchup this week for fantasy.

Charles has been a workhorse and the Colts need to balance their offense -- Gore will get a bunch of touches. I'm hoping to get a piece or two of that Packers' offense with Cobb and Rodgers and Quarless out. DeAndre and Mallett have a connection, so I'm hoping an even bigger game is around the corner against the Falcons.
