The reported desire of the Texans to re-sign Chandler Worthy to their practice squad after he was cut yesterday was no smokescreen.
Texans released WR Alan Bonner from practice squad and replaced him with WR Chandler Worthy.

Ever since he was drafted in 2013 (the last draft in which Gary Kubiak was the Texans' head coach), Alan Bonner simply couldn't stay on the field. His Houston career was an ongoing saga of injury, waiver wires, injured reserve, getting cut, and the occasional practice squad dalliance. If you want to see the most in-depth piece on Bonner this site ever did, check out TDC's post-draft look at the wide receiver. Even on a team desperate for a legitimate return threat, Bonner was just never able to put it all together.
Nevertheless, best of luck to him as he looks to continue his NFL career.
