Now that he's unemployed and presumably well rested, former Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett has the time to tweet again. Like all of the great minds of our generation, he's taken to Twitter to express regret for his actions.

All kidding aside, kudos to Mallett for making some attempt, however clumsy and untimely, to accept ownership for his foolish actions. While that ham-fisted clutch at personal accountability is surely aimed at garnering another chance in the NFL (which, for the record, I don't think will happen, though you never say never in a league so devoid of quarterbacks) and does the Houston Texans absolutely no good, here's hoping Mallett does in fact grow from this experience.
