Tonight, on national television, the Detroit Lions (0-3) visit the Seattle Seahawks (1-2) in a battle of two playoff teams from last season who have started off the year playing below expectations.
Everyone's Super Bowl favorite, the Seattle Seahawks, have lost to the Rams and Packers, but are coming off a game where they forced the Bears to punt on every possession and savoring the return of Kam Chancellor. The Lions still have yet to win one, and their elite run defense has fallen to 14th in the league, thanks to the losses of Nick Fairley and Ndamukong Suh to free agency. The Lions are also still missing outside linebacker DeAndre Levy because of a hip injury. Additionally, Detroit's offense is facing a 2013 Kubiak-esque "The defense knows our routes and plays before we snap the ball" situation with an offensive coordinator in Joe Lombardi who pulsates with royal football blood calling their plays.
This is your open thread for Monday Night Football. Enjoy the game.
