Monday Night Football: Houston Texans v. Cincinnati Bengals - Q2 Thread

The Houston Texans are not expected to become the first team to hand the Bengals a loss. But games aren't played on paper. I mean, some are, but not this one. Perhaps we'll wish it was by night's end. Nevertheless, talk about the game as it happens in Battle Red Blog's live open game thread for Texans-Bengals on Monday Night Football this evening.

Bengal killer.

First quarter notes:

  • Gotta love Hue Jackson's creativity to start the game.
  • Gotta love Kevin Johnson's play to start the game, too.
  • Texans actually moving Watt around in the game.  That's big.
  • Ryan Griffin in mid-season form.  Thank goodness we stashed him.
  • Kevin Johnson needs to turn around and look for the ball.  Such an easy DPI call on him.
  • Whitney Mercilus.  Wow.
  • Texans defense showing more strength than wet toilet paper so far.  That's a nice change.
  • Wow, so the BE-SFs got a real meth-head for their TNF commercial.
  • Alfred Blue has less ball carrier vision than Stevie Wonder.
  • Xavier Sua'Filo should not be playing football.
  • Whitney Mercilus.  Wow, part two.
  • Vince Wilfork needs to sit.
  • Cecil Shorts plays over Jaelen Strong why?
