Adam Schefter is reporting that the NFL is set to break with tradition this spring. Texans fans react to the news that there could be more trades in 2016 than ever before.

I know, I know...why are we talking about the NFL Draft in mid-November? Because there's honest-to-goodness news about the process, not which players the Texans should be targeting, that's worthy of a post.

While it remains to be seen whether the ability to trade compensatory draft picks will result in more trades, the fact that it's possible to trade that which was previously untradeable merits your attention. If nothing else, you can dream about what might have been if the Texans had been able to trade the compensatory pick they received in 2013 when Mario Williams signed with the Bills instead of using it to draft Sam Montgomery in the third round.

Now we return to our regularly scheduled rationalization of how T.J. Yates will channel 2011 anew and lead the good guys to an upset over the Jets on Sunday.
