What was speculated has come to pass. The Houston Texans will be without their starting quarterback against the Jets on Sunday.
Although Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer's concussion symptoms have improved daily, he won't play Sunday. Team hopeful of return next week.

That means T.J. Yates will in fact make his first NFL start in nearly four (4) years, with newly acquired Brandon Weeden presumably serving as Yates' backup. Hopefully, Yates will be able to spot DeAndre Hopkins out wide when he lines up under center. Unfortunately, that's not a sure thing at the moment (though it's not worth freaking out about yet).
