After an overstuffed slate of early afternoon games today, the NFL only has two matchups set for the later afternoon window before the Patriots and Broncos get it on tonight. The Arizona Cardinals travel up to San Francisco to take on the 49ers at 3:05 PM CT, while the Steelers get to endure the raucous crowd in Seattle at 3:25 PM. No AFC team has ever won on the road against the Seahawks in the Russell Wilson era, by the way, so Big Ben and company have a tough task ahead of them.
On the other side of that coin, the Wilson-led Hawks have never won a game (0-13) when their defense has given up more than 24 points, which the Steelers are certainly capable of doing today.
Per the AFC rooting guide from earlier this week, the Texans really, really need Pittsburgh to lose, by the way. Here is a TV coverage map for this afternoon’s games. Which one are you watching? Sound off in the comments below!
