Although the Houston Texans didn't make any trades today, that doesn't mean their roster stood still. From the team's official site, we see that the Texans shuffled the lineup on their 53-man roster, their practice squad, and their unfortunately bustling injured reserve list. The breakdown:

-Eric Kush: The center was signed to the Texans' active roster. You can find praise for his energy level here. Kush will presumably be Ben Jones' primary backup.

-Greg Mancz: The rookie center who served as Jones' backup before getting hurt got sent to injured reserve. The undrafted free agent's season is over, so it remains to be seen whether he'll be back next year. Recall that he did make a good impression during training camp.

-Akeem Hunt: The running back was added to the Texans' practice squad. Prior to having a cup of coffee with the Ravens a couple of weeks ago, Hunt was signed earlier this offseason as an UDFA by the Giants; you can find out more about him in this profile at Big Blue View.

It's not trading for Jay Cutler, Matt Forte, or Joe Thomas, but it's something.
