New York Giants (5-7)
The Giants are only one game out of first place in the NFC East, as the Washington Redskins (6-7) and Philadelphia Eagles (6-7) continue to have people asking if anyone wants to win that division this season.
This article from NFL.com covered it best:
In the past two weeks, the New York Giants and Washington Redskins each had a chance to grab a stranglehold of the division. Both choked.
The Redskins, Giants and Philadelphia Eagles each sit at 5-7. TheDallas Cowboys cling to playoff life at 4-8 after beating Washington 19-16 on Monday night.
The Giants have lost three straight. The Eagles pulled off a miraculous win in Foxboro after giving up a combined 110 points in their own three-game losing streak. The Redskins just lost to the Cowboys at home. Dallas is starting Matt Cassel the rest of the season.
This is an atrocious division.
Miami Dolphins (5-7)
Miami is anchoring last place in the AFC East, and there is little chance for them to reach the postseason with the New England Patriots (11-2) and New York Jets (8-5) steaming full-speed ahead in December. They'll play for pride tonight in front of their fans and could spoil the Giants' effort at claiming the NFC East title.
