In a strange bit of expected symmetry, both the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts will be without their starting quarterbacks on Sunday.
O'Brien on QB Brian Hoyer (concussion): "He is still in the protocol. He won't play on Sunday."

No surprise: Colts HC Chuck Pagano just told reporters that QB Andrew Luck will not play on Sunday. Luck returned to practice today.

While Hoyer's unavailability in the wake of his second concussion in less than a month was virtually certain, Jim Irsay had previously expressed hope that Luck would return to Indianapolis' lineup on Sunday for a game that could very well decide which team wins the AFC South.
With Hoyer out, T.J. Yates will get the start at quarterback for the Texans. Assuming he's not too dinged up from the multiple hits he took against the Jaguars, Matt Hasselbeck, who essentially walked out of a hospital to beat the Texans in Houston two months ago, will get the start under center for the Colts. If Hasselbeck can't go, Charlie Whitehurst would get the nod for Indianapolis.
