Houston Texans Injury News: Brian Hoyer Expected To Practice Today, But Not Cleared From NFL Concussion Protocol Yet

The Houston Texans' starting quarterback will reportedly return to the practice field today. After his second concussion in less than a month, should he?

Should Hoyer be back on the field this season?

Brian Hoyer has been sidelined since suffering his second concussion of the season nine (9) days ago. Aaron Wilson reports that Hoyer will be back on the practice field today, leaving the possibility that he'll return to the lineup Sunday against the Titans open.

From Wilson's story:

Hoyer is "feeling good," per a source, and is still awaiting final clearance. His status is still being determined for Sunday’s road game against the Tennessee Titans.

Because Hoyer has had two concussions this season and five overall in his career, the Texans are proceeding cautiously due to the frequency of the head injuries and the climate in the NFL regarding concussions.

Hoyer’s symptoms subsided quickly after suffering a concussion in a loss to the New England Patriots.

While there's no doubt Brian Hoyer is an upgrade over Brandon Weeden for the Texans, I have to admit I'm a bit torn about the idea of Hoyer getting back on the field so quickly after his second concussion in less than a month. What say you?
