Reports are coming in that Brandon Brooks, the Texans' starting right guard on the offensive line, has departed Ralph Wilson Stadium this morning in an ambulance with an unspecified illness. He has a history of stomach ulcers, and according to Chron.com, it is being speculated that may be the situation today.
Brooks experienced nausea and went to a local hospital for fluids and examination. Brooks walked into an ambulance under his own power for medical assistance Sunday morning after walking out of the locker room after arriving at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Brooks has dealt with a history of stomach problems over the past year, including missing a game last season. He’s had ulcers in the past.
Oday Aboushi will start today in place of Brooks for the Texans' game against the Buffalo Bills. Aboushi has played well enough that this shouldn't be a huge setback for the offense, but obviously we'll hope Brooks is feeling better soon.
After the Texans arrived at Ralph Wilson Stadium RG Brandon Brooks walked out of dressing room and into back of ambulance. No reason given.
