Brandon Brooks, the Texans' starting right guard, was a late scratch from yesterday's game against the Bills after he left Ralph Wilson Stadium in an ambulance. Initial reports were that Brooks appeared to be fighting some sort of illness.
So again: #Texans RG Brandon Brooks is inactive. Sweating & vomiting when he arrived at stadium. Got fluids here, then went to hospital.

Oday Aboushi started in Brooks' place at right guard. Although I do recall Aboushi having a penalty early, I thought he played relatively well in relief of Brooks. Still, Aboushi ain't Brooks, who's one of the better guards in the entire NFL.
Whatever Brooks was dealing with, the problem was severe enough that he did not fly home to Houston with his teammates after the game.
Sounds like Brandon Brooks won't be on the #Texans flight. According to the Erie County Medical Center, he is still in the emergency room.

He is, however, expected back in Houston tonight.
O'Brien said #Texans' Brandon Brooks should be back in Houston by 7 p.m.

Whether Brandon Brooks will be back in the lineup when the Patriots take the field at NRG Stadium on Sunday night is still unknown.
Too soon to determine whether Brandon Brooks will play, O'Brien said. #Texans

The Texans will need all hands on deck against the Patriots this week, so here's hoping for a speedy and full recovery.
