When Was The Last Time The New England Patriots Lost Three Games In A Row?

New, comments

With the Houston Texans scheduled to host the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football and the Patriots on a two-game losing streak, the question had to be asked. Unfortunately for Texans fans, the answer doesn't inspire much confidence that the Pats will lose a third consecutive game.

2002.

Thirteen (13) years ago.

That's the last time the New England Patriots lost three games in a row.

If the Houston Texans beat the Patriots on Sunday night, they'll do something that hasn't been done since the Green Bay Packers, led by Brett Favre and Ahman Green, did it on October 13, 2002.

That's simply amazing. For all the fawning over what Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have accomplished since the turn of the century, the fact that they haven't suffered a three-game losing streak for 13 freaking years is astounding.

You likely knew the Texans had a monumental task in front of them this week. You just may not have realized how historically monumental it really is.

Still...any given Sunday, right?
