Walk, Franchise, Extend: 2015 Houston Texans Free Agency Edition

With just under a month to go until the start of free agency, the Texans have some hard decisions to make. Naturally, we at BRB like to turn those hard decisions into a game.

Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

At some point in our lives, we have all sat around a friend’s living room with a bunch of people and played "F**k, Marry, Kill" for several hours while drinking copious amounts of alcohol, right?

No? Just me? Well, okay then.

I’ve decided to play that same game today with all of you wonderful readers in our virtual BRB living room with tons of imaginary alcohol. Instead of marrying celebrities and office hotties, however, we’ll be making contract decisions about Texans free agents.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to "Walk, Franchise, Extend". The rules are simple – I throw out three names, and you all tell me whether you would let them walk in free agency, franchise them, or extend their contract with a long-term deal. Within each grouping of players, the "walk" label, "franchise" label, and "extend" label can only be used once each, so choose wisely. Got it? Good.

Group A:

1. Ryan Mallett

2. Kareem Jackson

3. Derek Newton

My personal answer: extend Mallett, franchise Jackson, let Newton walk.

Group B:

1. Brooks Reed

2. Tim Jamison

3. Kendrick Lewis

My personal answer: extend Reed, let Jamison walk, franchise Lewis.

Group C:

1. Kendrick Lewis

2. Ryan Pickett

3. Damaris Johnson

My personal answer: franchise Lewis, extend Pickett, let Johnson walk.

What say you, BRB? Are your answers any different than mine, or do you have any groupings you want to throw out there for the rest of us to chew on? Sound off below.
