Stop me if you've heard this one before. Despite a performance at the Combine that was described as "underwhelming," Dan Kadar's newest mock draft once again has your Houston Texans taking Shaq Thompson with the sixteenth pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. Kadar says:
Thompson’s Combine didn’t go as expected – at least in regard to his 40-yard dash time. His 40 time may not have been blazing, but it’s good enough. He can play the weakside at inside linebacker for a team like Houston and use his coverage ability and instincts.
We all know it's silly to put too much stock in any single facet of player evaluation. Game tape should be the ultimate arbiter of a player's worth, right?
That said, now you have a better idea of Shaq Thompson's measurables. Has it affected your view on whether you'd want the Texans to draft him at No. 16?
