Ryan Fitzpatrick will head to New York to compete with Geno Smith for the starting quarterback role for the Jets.
It is looking ever more likely that Brian Hoyer is about to sign with Houston to challenge Ryan Mallett for the starting role with the Texans. It was reported earlier that Hoyer is in town meeting with the team in Houston and completing a physical. That made Fitzpatrick expendable, and the Jets were interested.

While none of the four quarterbacks mentioned here have yet established themselves as a top talent in the NFL, you can bet each of them is preparing to battle for a starting job in the upcoming training camps.
Fitzpatrick gave all he could while in Houston, and he played with incredible heart and passion. I'm sure he'll do the same when he arrives in New York.
The Texans will presumably receive a conditional future draft pick for the trade. We'll update once we know the details.
