2015 NFL Free Agency/Houston Texans Rumor Tracker (Part IX): Wherefore Art Thou, Vince?

We're still hoping Vince Wilfork decides to continue his career in Houston, playing under RAC, and mentoring Louis Nix, but the waiting game is long and sometimes tedious. We may not have football games to focus on today, but we do have free agents to speculate about and critique. Discuss reports, rumors, and desires for the Texans' free agent acquisitions (and other teams, of course) in BRB's ninth free agency open thread for the year.

I didn't know they made suits this size, but I'd love to see this round mound of NFL renown getting off a plane in Houston to sign a contract.

Though Louis Nix does in fact have knees, it'd be nice to bring in veteran fluffy fat man Vince Wilfork to help him in his adjustment to RAC's scheme and to mentor our 2014 third round draft pick, who missed the entire season due to injuries. Randy Starks, Tramon Williams (come home, sweet prince), Peanut Tillman, Cecil Shorts III, Greg Jennings, B.J. Raji (do not want), Jermaine Gresham, and Stefen Wisniewski remain available as well.

We've lost Kendrick Lewis to the dreaded Ravens, so we might need to be looking at safety as well as NT and LB (bye, Thor). Luckily, we've been able to sign Kareem Jackson, Ryan Mallett and Brian Hoyer, so CB and QB seem to be locked up.

Are there any other players or positions you think we need to be examining, panicking over, fighting about? Discuss Houston Texans news, rumors, or any and everything else NFL free agency-related in the comments below. This is your ninth open thread for free agency on our beloved Battle Red Blog.
