Vince Wilfork adds strength, experience to Texans’ 3-4 defense - Ultimate Texans
There’s nothing new about the Texans and a 3-4 defense. Coach Dom Capers installed the linebacker-heavy system during the franchise’s expansion years. Coordinator Wade Phillips returned the attack in 2011. Romeo Crennel fine-tuned his bigger, stronger version last season, when the Texans finished seventh in the NFL in points allowed and 10th against the run.
