Just one day after initial rumblings of interest in Matt Schaub by multiple teams, Peter King reports that the former Texan has now made his way to the evil purple empire that is the Baltimore Ravens (as is tradition for former Texans players and coaches).
The Ravens have signed Matt Schaub.

The #Ravens signed QB Matt Schaub to a one-year deal worth $3M, source said. And they now have experience behind Joe Flacco.

Joe Flacco has never missed a game throughout his very, very successful seven year career as the leader of the Ravens offense, but it only takes one questionable tackle to thrust (now former backup quarterback) Keith Wenning into the starting role. Nobody wants that…or at least nobody who considers themselves a fan of the Ravens.
Then again, if Matt Schaub’s last two seasons in the NFL are any indication of a sudden and tragic decline in ability, Ravens fans might not want him taking any snaps in an emergency situation either. I suppose giving Flacco piles and piles of money to at the very least not be terrible is a little bit more understandable now, isn’t it?
