Free agency is sooooooooo boring. Why won't the Texans ever do something?
Fear not, BRB, as your Houston Texans have re-signed another key component to the starting squad, re-upping Kareem Jackson after doing the same with Derek Newton earlier today.
Adam Schefter brings us the good news:
Texans take one of the top CBs off the market, reaching agreement with Kareem Jackson on 4-year deal, per source.

Much like the aforementioned Newton, Jackson was absolutely dreadful his first couple years in the league. But, oh my, did he improve.
While not an elite cornerback, Jackson is solid, dependable, versatile, and absolutely one of the best tackling CBs in the league today. Losing him would've been a problematic situation, at best. If Johnathan Joseph also returns, the Texans will have one of the more solid CB tandems in the league. We'll update with contract terms once they are known.
And now? Ryan Mallett Watch 2015.
UPDATE WITH CONTRACT TERMS via the comments:
Kareem Jackson's deal came in at 4 years and $34 m. A bit more than some predicted. Good for remaining ufa CBs.
