The sun has risen on another day in the "legal tampering period" that precedes the opening of NFL free agency on Tuesday. Consequently, a new thread for all of the day's NFL free agency folderol is in order.

Yesterday saw your Houston Texans re-sign Derek Newton to a five-year deal and then Kareem Jackson to a four-year deal. Ryan Mallett, as of the penning of this post, remains unsigned. Perhaps that changes today. Maybe? Possibly?
