2015 NFL Mock Draft: With The 30th Pick, The Green Bay Packers Select...

The Green Bay Packers have been one of the league's most consistent team's for the past decade. Who will they take to continue that success with the 30th pick in our community mock draft?

The draft analysts are checking their clocks as the draft nears its conclusion. But first FeedEmToTheWolves8099 has the Packers' pick in hand and is at the podium.

With the 30th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft the Packers select, Kevin Johnson (CB--Wake Forest).

As you may have heard, the Packers decided not to re-sign AJ Hawk this offseason, so ILB is a pretty apparent need.  Remember last season when they moved Clay Matthews inside?  I doubt they want their star pass rusher doing that again this season.

You may have also heard that they brought back veteran DT BJ Raji, who's coming back from a triceps injury. The Packers could be interested in a promising young DT to provde depth behind Raji and Pennel.  Or they could wait until the later rounds to address the DT positions, which is what I think they'll end up doing.  The Packers also lost Tramon Williams in free agency, so CB is a need for them as well.  I actually had them taking Stephone Anthony at #30, but he was taken at #28 by the Denver Broncos.

Kevin Johnson's stats might not be eye-popping, but the kid can flat out play and is ranked in the top 5 CBs among draft boards around the Internet.

Johnson can tackle, he has good coverage skills, he can play outside and in the slot, he's an all around cornerback and he can also contribute on special teams. He played 41 games at Wake Forest and never missed a game due to injury.  That will not go unnoticed in my opinion.

Overall, this seemed like a great value pick over someone like Eddie Goldman or Paul Dawson.  Scouts are very high on Kevin Johnson, and I think the Green Bay Packers would get an excellent player with this pick at #30.

With only one cornerback taken off the board thus far, the Packers might be getting a steal this late in the first round... or perhaps cornerback isn't a very deep position this year.  I'll leave you to decide that, dear readers.

Either way, superb write-up by Mr. FeedEmToTheWolves8099. UTBawse23 and the Saints are up again for the penultimate pick. It's due by 12 PM CT today.  Good luck.
