The Peyton Manning-to-the-Houston Texans zombie arises from the grave yet again, this time with a report via the local fishwrap that the Denver Broncos, now with Gary Kubiak leading their squad, tried to trade Fivehead to the Texans the offseason.
#Broncos attempted to trade Peyton Manning this off-season to the Houston #Texans per more than one source in position to know. (1/2)

2/2 Certain elements of Broncos organization wanted Osweiler era to begin this season.

Have two unrelated official sources on this, would be a hilariously oddly coordinated lie, if what they were telling me was untrue.

So, yeah, there's that.
I don't know about Allbright's credibility, but both the Texans and Broncos have already said the report is inaccurate. What else would they say? "Sure, we're trying to trade Peyton, and we want him good and angry at us to start the season?"
This isn't the first time Manning has been tied to the Texans. Peyton was once rumored to be Houston-bound after recovery from his neck surgery in 2012, but we were riding the Matt Schaub Express at the time (trainwreck.GIF).
Considering our current QB situation, I certainly wouldn't mind trading for Manning if a solid deal is on the table. But I'm also on board with bringing back George Blanda, all things considered.
This could also be revenge for Andre Johnson signing with the Colts, and revenge is a dish best served old.
