Introduce Yourself To The BRB Community!

Another season, another opportunity for everyone to come out of the shadows and introduce themselves to their fellow Texans fans. Our long summer hibernation is almost over; it's time to wake up and smell the pigskin!

With the 2015 season right around the corner, the BRB Masthead thought it might be a good time for another "introduce yourself" thread so that we can all get to know each other a little better before we start screaming obscenities together every Sunday afternoon. Whether you are a long time lurker or an established…uh…"personality" within the community, everyone is welcome to share a little something about themselves. I’ll start:

My name is Brett Kollmann, and this will be my fourth season writing for Battle Red Blog. My day job is at the NFL Network, where I am currently prepping for the annual grind that is Inside Training Camp (premiers August 29th at 10:00 AM EST). On Sundays this season, I will be working on NFL Redzone for my second consecutive year, so the majority of my "actual" Texans watching experience will probably have to take place after the games are long over; at least I don’t have to pay for DirecTV, I guess.  Every other day of the week is spent creating content for the network in one way, shape, or form. Some days I will be working on social media, others I will be doing graphical work, and then on some special days I am lucky enough to have an opportunity to cut a Texans-related music video like the one below.

My specialty here on BRB is breaking down the Xs and Os of the game so that you, our beloved readers, can have a more enjoyable – and educational – football experience. I used to do most of my work in article form, but earlier this year I started publishing video breakdowns. Judging by the feedback I’ve received from these more condensed "information bombs", I think I will continue to make these videos throughout the 2015 season. I certainly enjoy creating them as much as y’all enjoy watching them.
