Ryan Mallett "Disappointed," "Angry" About Losing Texans' QB Competition

The Houston Texans held a press conference this morning, and Ryan Mallett answered questions from the media regarding the news that Brian Hoyer was named as the Texans' starting quarterback. See what he had to say and join the conversation with fellow fans here at Battle Red Blog.

Ryan Mallett was the first to the podium this morning for the Texans' press conference following practice.  He looked and sounded like someone who had been betrayed.  His body language and the tone of his voice showed a guy who was clearly upset about Bill O'Brien's decision that Brian Hoyer would be the team's starter.  Mallett admitted to feeling angry and disagreeing with the decision.

Here are a few takes from the media members who were present:

Once Mallett was finished, the head coach met with the press.  As we should expect, Bill O'Brien said that he wants these emotions in his backup quarterback, and that he wants a real competitor who's ready to go when called upon.  O'Brien doesn't want a guy to be satisfied as the backup.

This definitely won't be the last we hear about the QBs on the 2015 Houston Texans. If you've got anything to add to the conversation, hit the Comments below.
