Ryan Mallett was the first to the podium this morning for the Texans' press conference following practice. He looked and sounded like someone who had been betrayed. His body language and the tone of his voice showed a guy who was clearly upset about Bill O'Brien's decision that Brian Hoyer would be the team's starter. Mallett admitted to feeling angry and disagreeing with the decision.
Here are a few takes from the media members who were present:
Mallett: I don't know what else to do except work my ass off. I don't look at it as a setback. I thought I did enough to win the job."

Once Mallett was finished, the head coach met with the press. As we should expect, Bill O'Brien said that he wants these emotions in his backup quarterback, and that he wants a real competitor who's ready to go when called upon. O'Brien doesn't want a guy to be satisfied as the backup.
Bill O'Brien on Ryan Mallett upset:"That's what U want. You don't want a guy jumping around doing backsprings when he gets named the backup"

O'Brien says you want a guy who isn't happy he didn't win a starting job. Said Mallett has prepared like a starter last two days. #Texans
