BRB's Getting The Survival League Back Together For The 2015 NFL Season

Hola, peoples. Encouraged by my weekend of fantasy football (and a not-so-gentle nudge from a friend of mine in a private Survival League), I also volunteered among the Masthead to put together BRB's NFL Survival League for 2015.

You already know about the Pick'Em that we're running, but don't forget that we also run a Survival League.

For those of you who don't know how Survival League works, I'll refer you to this handy dandy explanation courtesy of Bleacher Report. Basically, you get to select the winner of one football game per week. Sounds easy, right? Well, there's a catch, of course. The catch is that you can only use each team as your selected victor once during the regular season. So, basically, if you select Miami as the victor over Washington (and, given the steaming hot mess that is Washington, why wouldn't you?), you cannot select Miami as the victor in any other game during the regular season. The good thing about this is that it decreases your homerism for the Texans, though we know we're the favorite every week.

Of course, no one is expected to correctly guess seventeen times in a row, so this Survival League allows three strikes (meaning three incorrect selections) before you're eliminated from the competition. While three might be seen as somewhat excessive, the League does run through the playoffs, so there's that. The last fan left standing will wear the hat of BRB Survival League Champion of the Year, and get a sponge bath from BFD. Woot!
