This week's trailer for the latest episode of "Hard Knocks" showcases perhaps the player who qualifies as "the breakout star" of this year's edition--Charles James. HBO has done a good job highlighting James' passion for football and socks, and James himself has done a good job making a strong case for winning one of the Texans' precious 53 roster spots.
Tonight's episode, however, appears to show a bit of James' life off the field. Specifically, it shows James playing former Giants teammate Odell Beckham, Jr. (who Texans fans some neutral observers may consider a poor man's DeAndre Hopkins) in "Madden '16." I have yet to find the video in a format that allows it to be embedded, so you'll have to watch it here on the team's official site.
With the Texans cutting their roster down to 75 players over the last couple of days, it also stands to reason we'll witness some uncomfortable meetings in tonight's episode. While that may make for good television, watching someone lose their job probably won't be fun.
Remember that the fourth episode of "Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Houston Texans" premieres tonight at 9 p.m. CDT on HBO.
