Our long national nightmare is over - it's football season.  With the NFL slate kicking off a scant few hours from now when the Patriots host the Steelers, it's time for the staff (and friends) of Battle Red Blog to give you a face-full of predictions (note that our Texans-specific predictions will run tomorrow).  Predictions that brought us such hits in 2014 as:

Comeback player of the year - Robert Griffin III (Rivers)
DROY - Jadeveon Clowney - (Everybody)
AFC Wild Card - Jacksonville - (NOBODY... NOBODY SAID THAT!  DON'T LOOK!)

It's nearly a clean sweep for Denver in the AFC West, other than MDC, who is known to type while drinking and taking repeated blows to the head.  New England and Seattle swept their respective divisions among BRB writers, and there's a lot of love for up-and-comers Minnesota in the NFC wild card race.
