Street Clothes Special: Texans-Chiefs Inactives

Hola peoples. It's the opening game for your Houston Texans and seven men will be decked out in their finest street clothes (well, loose-fitting sweats and ballcaps, but they'll have the logo on them, so it will be natty and nice anyways).

Sometimes he's healthy. Sometimes he's decent. We're trying to find a time when he's healthy and decent. Not this week, though.

Today, our Texans are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs. Unfortunately, we're going to be down seven men, largely due to injury and wholly expected, but the other 46 men will be inspired by OB's chin, RAC's profanity-laced tirades and the prospect of a decent return game to play as hard as possible and go for a victory. It's football time in Houston (cue the worst football song in the history of mankind) and we're checking out the inactives lists for both teams.

Our workhorse back Arian Foster injured his groin early in training camp and is still rehabbing that injury. Though he recently said he felt "wonderful," he's going to feel wonderful on the sidelines today, while Texans fans wonder what Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp can do in the run game and whether Brian Cushing has been able to will some toughness into Alfred Blue.

Starting linebacker Mike Mohamed went down with a leg injury during the week, so he and his walking boot will be in street clothes this week, too.

Eternally-injured Xavier Su'a-Filo is battling a calf injury and OB wasn't too optimistic that he'd be able to make today's game, before ruling him out entirely on Friday.

LB Carlos Thompson suffered a concussion and won't be in the game, either. Safety Lonnie Ballentine, who missed all of last season, has a knee injury that will keep him in street clothes on the sidelines.

Also missing are CB Jumal Rolle and OL Kendall Lamm.

For the Chiefs, they'll be missing CB Marcus Cooper, WR Frankie Hammond Jr, QB Aaron Murray, CB Steven Nelson, DT Rakeem Nunez-Riches, TE Brian Parker, and OG Jeff Allen.
