The roster move that was inevitable after the team decided to send Ryan Griffin to short-term injured reserve has been made. As Mark Berman reported, it's not a tight end that'll be coming to the Texans' 53-man roster before they face the Panthers this week. It is, however, someone Texans fans know.

Worthy flashed some ability as a returner during the early part of the preseason, but it was always going to be tough for him to stick on a roster that featured considerable depth at wide receiver. The question now becomes whether Worthy will get a chance to make a difference on special teams this week or in the weeks to come, should he be more than a one-week addition while the team researches its options.
UPDATE (10:59 a.m. CDT): Here's who'll replace Worthy on Houston's practice squad.
