Yesterday was flush with a lot of breaking news for your Houston Texans, including:
- QB Ryan Mallett reported to be starting at quarterback for the next game against the Carolina Panthers.
- OG Oday Aboushi claimed off waivers from the Jets.
- WR Chandler Worthy being moved to the 53-player roster from the practice squad.
- WR Keshawn Martin, along with a 6th round pick, getting traded to the Patriots for a 5th round pick.
-
You may have wondered what could possibly hit the newswire today to top that. Well, there's great news and there's potentially terrible news. First, the good: the return of one Arian Foster! That's right! Foster reportedly returned to practice today, although he is unlikely to play in a game until he has a couple of good weeks of practice completed.

Now the potentially awful news...not to dampen the joy of Arian Foster returning to practice, but Duane Brown has reportedly missed a second day of practice as he recovers from getting "nicked-up" in the loss to the Chiefs last Sunday. It's not looking good for him playing against the Panthers.

Let's hope Brown can make it to Carolina, because Mallett needs protection (especially on the blind side against Carolina's pass rush) for his big starting debut in 2015.
