Texans-Panthers Game Day Open Thread: Second Quarter

As I start drafting this post, both teams have gone three-and-out one time. My hope is, by the time this post goes live, the game will be far less ugly. But I have my doubts.

Noticed so far:

-Carolina is employing the triple-team on J.J. Watt. Which makes sense if you value your QB.

-Jadeveon Clowney looks fast off the ball so far. He's gonna get a sack today. Mark it down.

-Remember when we used to have TEs that caught the ball and did things? Those were the salad days, my friends.

-The "Skittles Pox" commercial is disgusting.

-"We've secretly replaced the Texans' receiving gloves with teflon-coated grease mittens. Let's see if they notice."

-Clowney...sooooo close.

-How is there still 4 minutes left in this quarter??

-I'm not saying the Panthers are a dirty, cheap-shot-taking team, but I'm not NOT saying it, either.

-I like the idea behind the deep shot to DeAndre Hopkins, but maybe don't do that when there's a single-high safety that you haven't looked off.

-Two-yard screens on 4th & 4? Interesting approach.
