The Houston Texans made two roster moves shortly before the lunch hour today. First, the Texans brought back noted "Hard Knocks" mope (also fundamentally poor but playmaking linebacker) Kourtnei Brown and signed him to the active roster. Additionally, Houston filled its one empty practice squad slot with Zac Dysert, whom they cut from the practice squad last week.

Houston may be looking for some "juice" in the pass rush or help on special teams from Brown. They could certainly use help in both areas. Whitney Mercilus hasn't exactly been living up to his new contract through three games, and well - the special teams woes are literally the same as they've been since even before Joe Marciano was booted out the door along with Gary Kubiak in 2013.
Dysert worked out with the Patriots on Tuesday and Bill O'Brien will be DAMNED if Bill Belichick is gonna get his hands on one of his grab bag quarterbacks!
We'll see Sunday if Brown can keep himself off the inactive list.
UPDATE: Thanks to Troy Chapman for this tweet.

#Texans O'Brien: LB Brian Peters can really run. He was at practice today. Played in CFL and for Vikings.
