Houston Texans Roster Cuts: Predicting The Texans' Final 53-Man Depth Chart

The preseason is finally over, which means the Texans are in the midst of trimming the last bits of fat off of the roster before the week one opener against the Chiefs. See who we think should make team, and submit some predictions of your own!

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

The Texans have to make their last 22 cuts by Saturday’s deadline to get under the 53-man roster limit, which means we only have one more opportunity to predict who will make the final depth chart. Luckily for us, having Hard Knocks cameras chronicle every little position battle during training camp has helped to get a clearer perspective than perhaps ever before. Would Charles James be such a rock solid lock to make the team without the entire city of Houston – and of course the coaching staff – falling in love with his personality? Would we have been given as much context for the outside linebacker battle without the show? Would we otherwise know how much Bill O’Brien obviously likes Chris Polk as a player? I personally do not think so, which I suppose is the value of Hard Knocks to begin with. If those cameras weren’t there, we the fans would lose out on a lot of incredible insight.

I really, really hope that the organization volunteers to do the show again in the future. From a fan's perspective, it has been an outstanding experience in every possible way. With that in mind, here is our final 53-man depth chart prediction, position by position.
