Texans Trade Scenarios: Charles James & Others

A fan favorite may be on the trading block today, as the Houston Texans explore trade opportunities for Charles James. Fellow defensive back Jumal Rolle may also be in play just hours before teams finalize cuts to meet the 53 player roster limit. Talk about it here on Battle Red Blog.

HBO's "Hard Knocks" has helped to vault the infectious personality of Charles James II into stardom this season, but his time in Houston may be coming to an end if the latest trade reports are true.

Fans will likely respond with strong disagreement to James not making the roster, but that's the way things roll in the NFL.  Bill O'Brien and the coaches have the incredibly difficult job of reducing the roster to 53 players by 3 p.m. (CDT) today, and this may be the hardest choice they make in trading or potentially releasing Charles James.

Also mentioned in these trade discussions is Jumal Rolle.  Houston has an embarrassment of riches at cornerback, and they may get something for these players rather than just letting them hit the waiver-wire.
