The continued saga of Xavier Su'a-Filo has a new chapter as Bill O'Brien announced today that Su'a-Filo is likely out for the season opener against the Chiefs on Sunday:
Right now, LG Xavier Su'a-Filo is day-to-day. O'Brien not optimistic that he'll be healthy to play Sunday vs. Chiefs. #Texans

"I don't see that looking very good for him playing on Sunday."-O'Brien on OG Xavier Su'a-Filo.

BOB: Says it doesn't look good for @bigxmanee playing Sunday. "Didn't do much today through no fault of his own. He's injured."

Su'a-Filo, the 33rd-overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, hasn't been able to find his footing in the NFL in his young career. The UCLA product started one game for Houston last season. Su'a-Filo was in a walking boot thanks to a high ankle injury throughout most of the preseason, though he returned to practice this week.
Jeff Adams will likely start for the Texans at left guard during the first week of the season. Su'a-Filo would have likely backed up Adams anyway after failing to definitively win the job during the preseason.
Trying to not look too longingly at Minnesota Viking quarterback Teddy Bridgewater with this news.
