The most important moment of the combine for Texans fans is finally upon us - it's quarterback day. Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Paxton Lynch, Connor Cook, and of course Christian Hackenberg will all be taking the field this morning to strut their stuff. The signal-caller that the Texans prefer to draft at 22nd overall is still very much up in the air (cough, cough, Hackenberg), but perhaps today's drills can provide some much needed clarity.
Beyond the quarterbacks, some talented wide receivers will also be jockeying for position on draft boards throughout the day. Houston is likely already set on the outside with DeAndre Hopkins and the quickly developing Jaelen Strong, but there is still a plethora of slot receiver prospects on the field today that could all easily be future Texans. For what it's worth, I will be keeping my eye on Oklahoma's Sterling Shepard during every single drill. He may not have a big frame, but his combination of quickness, polish, and surehandedness could be a perfect fit inside for Bill O'Brien's offense.
Who will you be paying attention to the most today, BRB? Do you have a favorite quarterback prospect in the first round, or are you more intrigued by a middle round option like Dak Prescott or Cody Kessler? Sound off below as day two of the combine field drills begins!
