Thanks to WotanTX for reminding me that we needed an open thread for the national championship game tonight (7:30 p.m. CST). It probably won't stir the same passion in your soul that a Houston Texans playoff game will, but odds are it also won't end in a 30-0 shellacking (famous last words, say Michigan State fans).

Nick Saban, in search of his fifth national title, leads the Alabama Crimson Tide against Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers. Pundits kept waiting for Clemson to stumble all season, but it never happened. And if there's a team that can roll the Tide, they're likely standing on the opposite sideline tonight.

From a Houston Texans angle, your beloved squad has a couple of players with defined rooting interests. DeAndre Hopkins and Kareem Jackson each explained why his respective alma mater would emerge victorious tonight; you can read their thoughts here and here.

This is your open thread for the 2015 College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Share your thoughts as the game progresses in the Comments below, and enjoy the heck out of the final college football game of the season.
