It’s a big day today for NFL Draft nerds like myself. Potential future first round picks – and perhaps more importantly, potential future Texans – are taking to the field this afternoon in the 2016 Reese’s Senior Bowl. Quarterback Carson Wentz is the main attraction as he attempts to play himself into a high first round selection, but there are plenty of other "ancillary" prospects to look at for second and third day of the draft as well. Here is a quick list of players that fit Houston’s needs to keep an eye on during the game, which kicks off at 1:30 p.m. CST on NFL Network:
1. QB Carson Wentz
2. QB Cody Kessler
3. WR Sterling Shepard
4. WR Braxton Miller
5. ILB Kentrell Brothers
6. ILB Tyler Matakevich
7. S Miles Killebrew
8. S Jeremy Cash
9. S Darian Thompson
10. RB Kenneth Dixon
11. RB D.J. Foster
12. RB Kenyan Drake
13. RB DeAndre Washington
14. DL Jarran Reed
15. DL Matt Ionnidis
16. DL Sheldon Day
17. DL Adolphus Washington
18. DL Vernon Butler
19. DL Austin Johnson
Who are you most excited to watch, BRB? Are you just looking at the fast-rising Wentz, or do any other receivers or defensive linemen catch your eye? Consider this your open thread for the game and sound off below.
