While I would have been just fine with calling it a season when the Houston Texans were eliminated from the playoffs, the muckety-mucks at the NFL decided for some reason to keep playing football until only one team was left. Hence, next week we'll be treated to a game between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers to determine which team shall be declared champions of the 2015 NFL season.
Here's everything you need to know about Super Bowl 50:
Date: Sunday, February 7, 2016.
Time: 5:30 pm CST.
Location: Levi's Stadium (Santa Clara, California).
TV Channel: CBS.
Online streaming: CBS Sports.
Announcers: Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Phil Simms (color analyst), Tracy Wolfson and Evan Washburn (sideline reporters).
Odds: SB Nation Odds Page.
Halftime show: Coldplay, featuring Beyonce and Bruno Mars.
Referee: Clete Blakeman.
Remember, next year the City of Houston hosts the Super Bowl. Perhaps the Texans will become the first NFL team to ever play at home for the title.
Hey, where are you going? Don't you dare sneer and turn your back to me. IT COULD HAPPEN. AS SURE AS HOUSTON HAS A TERRIBLE SUPER BOWL MASCOT, IT COULD HAPPEN.
