This evening our Houston Texans will face our hated foes, the Indianapolis Colts. This is a division game, so it carries extra importance for the team to win. Plus, any time this franchise can defeat that franchise, we all celebrate.

The Texans’ offense has looked DOA this season, but the Colts’ defense might provide the spark of life our offense needs to finally turn the page and get going, even if Houston is without the talents of Will Fuller this evening. After last week’s embarrassing game, I simply refuse to believe that we won’t look better (I will not think how we could possibly look worse).

What about y’all? What are you hoping to see tonight? Does the fact that this game in aired nationally, under the lights, when our team prefers to sh.t the bed and embarrass us all concern you? Might this finally be the game where we can put our “it’s after dark and on TV so we’re going to lose” bad thoughts to rest once and for all? Or will that require a victory over Hoodie’s minions for you?

This is your Countdown to Kickoff, where you can discuss anything and everything (within site rules, y’all) in the run-up to the game. The first quarter open thread will publish at 7:15 p.m. CDT.
