2016 Monday Night Football Infographic: Houston Texans vs. Denver Broncos

New, comments

How Brock Osweiler got to this very date, which just so happens to coincide with Monday Night Football in Denver.

Jan. 4, 2016...

Brock Osweiler took over as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos on Nov. 22, 2015. He would lead the Broncos to wins in his first three games. He would drop the next two, but rebound with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Osweiler entered a game against the Chargers on Jan. 3rd as the starter, but left as the backup to 39-year-old Peyton Manning.

February 7, 2016...

Osweiler was spurned and relegated to the bench, despite success in his brief stint as a starter. He would have to watch as Manning led the Broncos to a victory in Super Bowl 50.

March 7, 2016...

When Manning retired, the starting job appeared gift-wrapped for Brock Osweiler. But an offer did not come from the Broncos immediately, and the relegation to the bench lingered in his mind.

March 10, 2016...

Brock Osweiler left Denver and found great wealth in Houston, signing a four-year, $72 million deal with the Texans.

October 24, 2016...

Brock Osweiler took the mantle of The Count of Buffalo Bayou. The Count now returns to Denver to show his growth and take his revenge upon Denver.
