This afternoon, the Houston Texans are facing the Minnesota Vikings in Minnesota’s new stadium.
Minnesota lost Teddy Bridgewater to a knee injury, gained Sam Bradford a few days before the season started, and haven’t missed a step. At 4-0, they sit atop the NFC North, proving that Mike Zimmer is pretty freaking awesome.
The Texans lost (?) Brian Hoyer and gained Brock Osweiler, and, let’s just say the offense is in a time of transition right now. Luckily, we play in the AFC South, so at 3-1, we’re in the lead, with the Titans, Colts, and Jaguars all at 1-3.
This game should provide a huge challenge for the Texans, but—as a Texans fan—I’d like to believe that we can prevail. What say y’all? What are you expecting to see today? How awesome will our offense look? Are we going to see our first Osweiler game without an INT? Will DeAndre Hopkins regain his spot atop our receivers board? Can our defense shut down the mighty Sam Bradford? This is your Countdown to Kickoff, where you’re free to kick about and discuss all your thoughts, hopes and fears before the game.
The 1st quarter thread will open at 11:45 a.m. CDT, at which point this thread will close. Inactives will post close to 10:30 and will be linked here.
