Since there's a lot of stuff that people are trying to not think of right now (I'll just refer to those things as SPIDERS), let's try and think of something else a little bit more interesting.
November is not just a month where men can extend their facial hair to annoy their special someone. It's also National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), which challenges people to write a 50,000 word novel (or roughly 200 pages) in the span of a month.
Needless to say, I'm not writing a 200 page novel in the middle of November. However, it gave me an idea for this week's SNOT, and it'll need your help to take off.
I'll write an opening passage for a story, (I have no story in mind, it'll just be a starting point), and in the comments, y'all carry on and write the next passage. Then someone else replies to you to continue the story and so on and so forth. We can see where that goes. It can be about the Texans, it can be about something entirely different (this is SNOT, after all), it really is kind of a choose your own adventure story.
As always, standard commenting rules apply, If you do take up this little challenge, any passage that takes a turn toward either becoming a Letter to the Penthouse Forum or a snuff film script will be deleted.
So here's the opening passage:
Time is a funny thing. When you're careening around on a roller coaster, it flies by in the blink of an eye. When you put your hand on a stove's burner, it slows to a trickle. Time can also run out on you, which is what just happened to Billy Pulaski.
Good luck!
