Derek Carr entered Estadio Azteca on Monday night with one goal — to prove that he could surpass his brother David Carr and master the bull that troubled the elder Carr for many years.
Derek, twelve years younger than David, was around in Houston to see firsthand the damage the bull did Sunday after Sunday.
The task wouldn’t be easy. The crowd in Mexico City chanted “Toro, Toro, Toro.” Maybe they were just cheering on the Texans’ mascot or egging him on to attack Carr. Either way, the two danced in the center ring at Estadio Azteca with 87,000 fans screaming for death and millions watching around the world on ESPN.
The pair circled one another, with Carr waving his red banner. Toro stopped, clopped his hooves and charged at full speed...
We’ll have to wait until later tonight to find out the outcome.
