Good afternoon/evening, Texans fans. I trust you had an enjoyable Thanksgiving and are basking in the extra time off from the usual grind. Welcome to this week’s edition of S.N.O.T. Although the floor is open to talking about nearly anything you want, I’m kicking things off with a little Robert Earl Keen.

In honor of the 20th anniversary of his seminal “No. 2 Live Dinner” album, REK released “Live Dinner Reunion” last week. As No. 2 Live Dinner was the first real Texas country album I ever bought, it holds a special place in my heart. To this day, it’s one of my favorites. If you’re a fan of REK or simply enjoy this type of music, I heartily recommend Live Dinner Reunion; it doesn’t track the original entirely, as it includes some of Keen’s later works that came long after No. 2 Live Dinner. Like this song:

In other news, you may have heard the University of Texas at Austin made the decision to fire Charlie Strong and to hire Tom Herman. I know there’s no shortage of Horns, Coogs, or simply general football fanatics with an opinion in this crowd, so feel free to wax poetic about that, Texas country, the Texans’ game against the Chargers tomorrow, or anything else that’s within the boundaries of our community in the space below. Have a great Saturday night.
