At this point of the season, the Texans are the walking wounded. That’s not abnormal for an NFL team right now, though. Both the Texans and Chargers will be missing some of their valuable players today.
The Texans have already ruled out Alfred Blue (calf), Tyler Ervin (ribs), John Simon (chest), and Jaelen Strong (ankle). Jay Prosch is again questionable with an injured hamstring. Other players on the injury report include Jadeveon Clowney (elbow, wrist), Lamar Miller (ankle, ribs), Vince Wilfork (groin), A.J. Bouye (ankle), Duane Brown (knee), Max Bullough (elbow), Chris Clark (hip), C.J. Fiedorowicz (shoulder), Will Fuller (knee), Ryan Griffin (neck), Jonathan Grimes (illness), and Xavier Su’a-Filo (finger). That’s 17 out of 53 players on the report. Yikes!
The Chargers’ training room is a little less full. Jatavis Brown (knee), Asante Cleveland (concussion, knee), and Brandon Flowers (concussion) are already out for the game. Travis Benjamin (knee), Jeremy Butler (ankle), Denzel Perryman (hamstring), and Tourek Williams (hamstring) are questionable. Jahleel Addae (collarbone) received treatment, but it not questionable.
